Rocklin DMV

I'm so glad my work takes me out near the Rocklin DMV on a regular basis, gets me out close ti make using this location convenient. This DMV is the best location I have used and I use it fairly frequently. The staff is friendly and helpful and it starts as soon as you walk through the door with the greeter. I have been here twice in the last two months and have been in and out, without and appointment, in under an hour. Now don't get me wrong, there's been times I hit it at the wrong time and it's taken longer. However, my average experience has been pretty quick. Recommend using this DMV if it's convenient, chances are pretty high it will be a good experience.

The website let me make 2 appointments but when we get there only show one appointment. So back in line. The test is NOT EASY. Needed to transfer another state license to California, did paperwork online & took knowledge test online. Did not show test was taken on myself but others tests did??? Got temporary driver's license after taking test 3 times. People all around me cheating with 2-3 people standing laughing giving them answers. Girl next to me looking up answers on phone, she got caught. One older gentleman doing pictures, working at paperwork & helping with testing computer problems, poor guy, he deserves a raise. Everyone went to lunch & left him to do everything..crazy. A 3 hour ordeal & didn't get a REAL driver's license, just a driver's license. Website totally SUCKS! There was not one chair to sit down either. Place packed with people at 10-2pm. This was my worst experience at any DMV in 45 years. It's not the employees fault, we dealt with 5 people. 3 were very nice & explained what went wrong. 2 employees should get a job elsewhere, not with the public.

New Car registration and getting a new drivers license was there at 7:30am lined up, dmv employee was there 7:45 giving numbers and information on what to do, they open at 8am by the way, I was able to complete my car registration and do my drivers exam plus get a new driver’s license in about 1hr:20min. I was out by 9:20am. Got everything done in an 1 hr and 20min. That is fast for a dmv. Rocklin DMV employees are great, they know there job well and do a great job, keep it up. You deserve a raise. Thank you for your fast and efficient service.

Ok, so I came here because I needed a replacement license and real ID due to some, uh, weekend choices lol. Came in at on a monday, 830am, and got the help I needed quickly. If you care for more detail, read below: I was concerned because Rocklin, is well Rocklin, and as a black male I didn't know what to expect. No appointment but was greater to a really kind older man who helped me get settled, and that really set the tone - being treated and seen as a person and valued for my time goes a long way. The place is really clean, quiet, and I didn't mind chilling out...there dmv chairs are like the same hard plastic chairs from grade school though...
